Jim Iyke releases statement about alleged 11 year old son

A few days ago, Stella Dimoko Korkus broke the news about Jim Iyke recently finding out that he has an 11 year old son with an ex girlfriend who relocated to the UK many years ago. (If you missed it, read it HERE). The actor has released a statement via his media manager addressing the issue. See it below...

“Jim Iyke is aware of the viral story currently making the headlines and wishes to state that this is not the first time that issues of this nature have arisen. Friends and fans who follow his activities closely will recall a number of occasions in the past when baseless claims of paternity and even marriage were made. Nonetheless, as a responsible man, he is always disposed to verify any such development(s) brought to his attention and when any satisfactory outcome has been ascertained, the general public will be duly informed without ambiguity. The only specifics at the present time is that at the age of 22yrs-23yrs old he dated for a brief period the lady at the center of the story who subsequently left Nigeria for the UK. “There had been no contact between them ever since and by implication no linkling of the existence of a living product of that encounter. Since this is more about an innocent child than the star himself we advise caution and respect for privacy. Mitch Ngaman, Media Manager.”

Stella/Daniel's Marriage Rumour: 'Now, I'm Vindicated--Wunmi Obe Speaks

It was never hidden to Stella Damasus that Wunmi Obe wasn't on the same page with her while she was married to Jaiye Aboderin. Wunmi Obe, who is married Tunde Obe, was the sister of late Jaiye.

Reports then suggested that Wunmi was against his brother marrying the actress. The reason, as reported then, wasn't far-fetched, a believe by Wunmi that Stella was allegedly cheating on late Jaiye while they were married.

Few days ago, Stella turned 35 and to celebrate the day for her, blogs reported that she secretly married ex-hubby of fellow actress, Doris Simeon, Daniel Ademinokan.

The 'innocent looking' actress reacted to the story which she indirectly claimed she isn't married to Daniel as speculated.

Shortly after, Wunmi tweeted what seems to be very suggestive about her then reported notion about Stella while Jaiye was married to the actress.

She tweeted, "vindicated at last! Jaiye, it's over. Sleep on, brother."

The tweet was reacted to by many who thought the post was directed at Stella. She later denied Stella being the target of the tweet.

FG BANS AMAECHI AIRCRAFT FROM FLYING

The Federal Government is certainly not taking the airplane grounding saga lightly as reports indicate that the National Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has banned the Rivers state-owned Bombardier aircraft from flying in Nigeria’s airspace.

Governor Rotimi Amaechi was on Friday stranded at the Akure Airport after attending the burial of the Ekiti Deputy Governor, Olufunmilayo Olayinla who died of cancer recently.
Amaechi was on his way back to Port Harcourt when aviation authorities denied his crew permission to take off based on the premise that his pilot has refused to declare the flight manifest according to aviation regulation.

Things degenerated further on Saturday when the Acting Director General of the NCAA, Benedict  Adeyinka, the Director of Airworthiness and Standards, announced the suspension of the plane from Nigeria’s airspace, saying its clearance certificate had since expired.

“The controversial aircraft on the service of Governor Rotimi Amaechi is operating illegally in the country,” Adeyinka reportedly said.

“The aircraft, a bombardier –BD700, global express with registration no N565 RS has its clearance approval expired since Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013.

“By our records, the last flight clearance for this aircraft was approved for operation on Thursday, March 28, 2013 on Accra-PH –Accra and to terminate on April 2, 2013. With this development, the aircraft has exceeded the extra two days or 48 hours leeway for it to leave the country.”

The NCAA official further noted that “while still operating illegally, the aircraft has been sighted in several places including Owerri and Akure.”

The aviation agency went on to ground the aircraft wherever it is presently located in the country saying: “Consequently, this aircraft in reference is hereby grounded at any airport that is located right now in the country.”

Observers believe the airplane saga is a fallout of the increasingly tense relationship between the Presidency and Governor Amaechi whose political ambition is seen as a threat to President Goodluck Jonathan’s political calculations in the 2015 elections.

We shall continue to watch developments to see who blinks first in this ‘war’ of the political titans

"I HAVE 99 PROBLEMS AND NOW JAY-Z IS ONE" SAY'S PRESIDENT OBAMA

The annual White House Correspondent's Dinner is typically a light-hearted affair, and this year's installment was no exception. The Dinner tends to serve as an opportunity for the President to show off his sense of humor and pop culture savvy, and with a President as charismatic as Barack Obama, these events tend to be ripe with entertaining moments.

While Obama obviously poked fun at himself and at those right wing media outlets who consistently have derided him throughout his two terms in office, he made sure to offer up enough hip-hop references to have the community talking for quite some time. Prior to the President stepping to the podium, the crowd in attendance was treated to DJ Khaled's "All I Do Is Win." Obama clearly enjoyed the moment, even synchronizing his hand gestures to match the chorus.

"How do you like my new entrance music?" Obama jokingly asked the audience, waiting for those assembled to sit back down before going right into the rest of the speech.

Later on, Obama had the chance to take a slick jab at Jay-Z, who caused a media frenzy with his visit to Cuba and subsequent "Open Letter." Talking about issues that he has to deal with that are out of his control, Obama said, "It's unbelievable... I have 99 problems and now Jay-Z is one of them." Interestingly enough, the President does not appear to be as concerned about Beyonce, who also went on the trip with her husband and created her own controversy at the recent inauguration by apparently lip-synching the National Anthem.

With the President entrenched in office for three more years at least, will the President continue to embrace hip-hop as openly as he did tonight, albeit in a joking manner? Is there any way Hov can offer up an appropriate response to Obama's comments? More importantly, has the President discovered that Khaled's ad-libs provide the self-confidence boost one needs to win a grueling election

Ghana Actress, Jackie Appiah, Denies Affair With Bobby Obodo

The management of Ghanaian star actress, Jackie Appiah, whose marriage was dissolved some months back, has issued a press statement to readdress the issue of her relationship with the Nigerian actor and activist, Michael Bobby Obodo.

Before the statement was issued, Jackie has been spotted with Michael Bobby Obodo in different locations in Accra in the past weeks, this has generated a lot of speculations that they are dating each other, Jackie has vehemently denied this affair.

Jackie Appiah was spotted at D-Black’s album launch on December 16, 2012, at the Movenpick Hotel, after which the two had a private meeting at the hotel’s lounge over some drinks, on December 21, they were together at the Smirnoff Spotlight Shakedown, December 22, at the Aphrodisiac Nightclub and then on December 26, at the Night of 1015 Laughs and Music

This is the statement from her management to counter whatever malicious stories in the social media about her, “I find it necessary to comment on recent scurrilous, slanderous and preposterous social media reports on Jackie Appiah’s alleged ‘marriage’ to Bobby Obodo.

First of all, let me state here that Jackie Appiah is absolutely not getting married to Bobby Obodo and the two of them are just good friends. I am appalled that the so-called reputable sites printing these vicious lies do not deem it fit to practice the simplest ethics of journalism like being accurate in their report and seeking reliable sources.

Which of you confirmed from Jackie’s management before going ahead to print? Jackie Appiah owes it to her fans and members of the public who have always supported her career, to set the record straight on issues like these, so without further ado, I wish to urge everyone to please disregard this misrepresentation of Jackie.”

Well, it always starts from being good friends to good lovers. Am I right or right? Good friend indeed!

I will get married when I meet my friend—Nollywood actress Empress Njamah

Beautiful actress, Empress Njamah is an amiable lady and fun to talk with. Living her passion in the fashion world, the thespian currently owns a boutique in Abuja called House of Empress. She also owns a Spa and a Saloon among other fortunes. The bundle of talent, who shot into limelight with the movie Girls Hostel, opens up to MERCY MICHAEL in this interview, on why she’s still single

As one who is brilliant, beautiful and curvy, why are you still single?

I’m gonna say this alright; I don’t care how people take it, the days when marriages were sweet and all beautiful are no more. If you listen to how your parents got married and how those days it was sweet, it’s not like that anymore. I’ve escorted a lot of people into marriages, I won’t say I’ve escorted them out but I’ve witnessed them come out of it.

So psychologically it’s not good for people and then being what we are, a lot of people think because she’s this, because she has that I don’t think I will be able to handle them. A lot of people can’t stand an industrious woman especially if she’s doing well. It’s the mentality of the people. If a man looks at me, I’m a car freak alright. I have five cars and I’m not doing it because I’m trying to show off, a lot of people don’t even know that they are my cars.

But I’m trying to be honest with you and I’m always trying to say it the way it is, not minding whatever. If a man comes and says because of blablabla, he cannot handle me, then he shouldn’t bother. Every woman’s dream is to get married but it’s not just to get married but to get married to your friend. I want to marry my friend.

And have you met your friend?

I’m yet to meet my friend. If I meet my friend and I know that he is my friend, I don’t think that question should actually pop up because what am I doing if I’ve met my friend? If I’ve met my friend I will get married. And then, I’m this type of person that even if I meet my friend; I don’t want to have a fairy tale wedding.

Really?

Yes, don’t judge a book by its cover. People always look at Empress oh she’s flashy. She’s this and that. Trust me; I’m the simplest person you can ever meet. I’m playful, I’m jovial, and I’m interesting. I’m not blowing my trumpet. But I don’t have a dull moment

Q & A Of The Day: Can Iyanya date a celebrity?

I can date anybody but the thing about dating celebs is that it would most likely not last. The only way it may last is if they are not successful. But if they are both successful, when people see them together, they would focus on them. That alone has an effect on the relationship because they won’t be free.

2Face Is Already Big And Black Face Will Still Grow – Faze

Annie used to sit under the tree to cry for 2face’s love …

After a failed album, Originality, he took a long break from the music scene, only to re-surface with Re-Fazed, an album which opens a new side to the dreadlocks wearing Faze. But this time, the dreads are gone- here comes the ‘new born’ Faze. Read on.

What do you mean by ‘leaving everything’?

That is I had to relocate from where I was living because we weren’t living together at that time. I went to live with 2face and Blackface to enable us form the Plantashun Boiz. Even there was a movie I featured in, titled Alero’s Symphony. I insisted that I would be coming to location from my home but the producers disagreed with me because they wanted me to get used to the environment. So, I was on location for about three months and that was what delayed my album.

You have a degree, 2face doesn’t, and I don’t think Black Face does…

No, Black Face has a degree. What Black Face just told me was that if I wanted to cope with Plantashun Boiz, I should forget about this because I don’t like talking about the past. As young boys, in the Plantashun Boiz, we were always back up to each other. If 2face wasn’t singing, I could take his part because we have similar voices. And Black Face raps and sings at the same time.

So, two heads are better then one. Then, as the baby of Plantashun Boiz, I listened to whatever Black Face said, and I never see anything wrong with that because it worked out for me. Who knows, if I wasn’t part of the group, I might be struggling with other groups to come up today. I attempted it and it worked but if I tried and it didn’t work out, maybe I would have done something else.

How do you feel today that 2face is a superstar as well as yourself, but Black Face is yet to hit the mark?

Black Face is also going to be big. Everybody seems to be supporting him financially, and it takes a lot for people to believe in you. Black Face wrote almost all the songs we had in our first album, so, he has potentials. He has management challenges and people that believe in him. We must be frank, we have some junk music in the industry but they sell because they have financial backups to pay for publicity and other things. These days, if you are bringing out an album, it has to be well packaged, it has to generate noise. I’m working on something with him to make sure he bounces back

Since you know his problem, why didn’t you…?He’s going to be big. Everybody has his time

But don’t you think it’s getting too late?

Nothing is too late. He just needs a single and I’m working with him on his album because he was involved in my career. I remember when I wanted to go for a singing competition. I was young and scared of the unexpected because there were so many ladies there that could sing well. I didn’t want to involve myself because I noticed judges were usually partial when it comes to ladies.

It was a live performance but Black Face encouraged me to go ahead. He accompanied me to the competition and I won at the end of the day. So, it’s the same spirit that I’m trying to give back to him. Whenever, we sit and write songs together, he writes in a different dimension. I think the only thing he needs to do is take his time and not to be in a hurry.

It appears you are more passionate about Black Face than 2face?

No, it’s not like that. 2Face is already big and Black Face will still grow. Most of the times when he’s down, I sit with him because I know his kind of person. He has talent and he has his fans. What is left is for him to give his fans the right music to listen to and enjoy.

He made me grow, and I don’t want to say I don’t care about anybody but I’m a kind of person that I don’t forget my benefactors. Sometimes, God directs me to give to people and I do it because I know there’s blessing behind it. It was Black Face who made me join Plantashun Boiz and that’s why I’m known today.

So why didn’t you speak with 2face to lend him a support?

What he needs isn’t financial support. We are working together to bring out the right songs.

What’s 2face doing about it?

I’m sure both of them meet to discuss on their own, you know they are from the same area. I can only speak for myself that whatever I do for Black Face, I’m not helping myself, he’s helping me. I’m still going to do one or two songs with 2face in future. But I’m doing everything to make sure things work out well for Black Face. We are all looking for money to take care of our responsibilities. The highest we can do is work together and make more money. Black Face has been helpful to me even financially so, it’s on both sides

Why were you and Black Face absent at Tuface’s Dubai wedding?I was in Dubai but got to the venue very late. I had other functions I was attending to. People saw me because we were together at the club. Black Face has his own reason he didn’t make it.

But you are his friend and you should know better

He must have his reasons.

Maybe, he didn’t have money for the ticket…?

It’s not about the money because tickets don’t cost that much. He must have his own reasons. Tuface had his reasons he didn’t invite him too. After all, when Black Face did his wedding, none of us was there.

Now, that 2face and Black Face are married, what are you waiting for?

I’ll do that very soon.

I thought you said you had a girl you were dating for years and you’d get married to?

I’ve never dated any girl for years in my whole life. Besides, I don’t have to date anybody for years before knowing who she is. That’s why I wrote a song called Good Wife. I know the qualities of a good wife, and it’s only God that can show you who a good wife is because you know most of our young ladies pretend only to change after the wedding. I know my wife. It’s not that I’m perfect.

Meaning that someone is in your life…

Yes, I don’t play with that. But what if I want to marry her but she isn’t ready for it? Both of us have our lives to live but what matters is that we love each other. I didn’t say I have another girl. She’s a wife to be by God’s grace. It’s not that my mum has to approve her. It’s just for her to pray because God determines everything we do in life. I do things at my own time and make sure that person is ready to do it too.

So when is your time?

I won’t say anything now but it’ll happen at the right time.

How come you and Black Face are reserved with girls but 2face isn’t?
Tuface is also a cool headed person. The girls who got pregnant for him knew what to do to avoid pregnancy but they didn’t. That means they wanted the babies.

They wanted him to marry them?

It’s all about choice when he decided to marry Annie. I’ve known Annie for years and I think she’s perfect for him. There were times she would sit under the tree, crying and asking me if 2face really loved her. Even when 2face was dating Annie, Black Face and I were equally dating two of Annie’s friends. But we didn’t marry those girls but 2face and Annie eventually got married. That’s life for you.

How do you cope with girls?

It’s not easy. They come, want to get very intimate and ready to do anything. Some of them already have boyfriends, and some are even married but I know the rules. So, what I do is to invite them to my shows and they see me. Some of them just wants their parents to see me. There was a girl that her mother always calls me and prays for me over the phone. So, considering all the prayers I get from mostly elderly people, I don’t think any evil can happen to me in this life.

So since you are still single…

No, I’m not single. I have a fiancee and I’m marrying her by God’s grace.

How does your fiancee cope at your shows?

No she can’t go to my shows because it’s not right. I’m not a public person and I can never take my wife to-be to my events. And that’s why I can’t marry an entertainment person because we can’t be doing the same thing.

Maybe, you don’t want her to get jealous

She can’t get jealous because she’s a matured person. I don’t go out with kids and I can’t date a girl that’s not intelligent because it’s going to affect my career, and even our kids will be dull. I like a lady who can help organize my life

THE MANY FLAWS OF ENTERTAINERS IN GOVERNMENT EXPOSED! +How they misused their positions in government

Some years ago, it was unthinkable that a Nigerian artiste would be given the opportunity to serve in any official capacity in government. In those days, it did not matter if an artiste had a good educational background or not. As long as he had chosen to earn his living as musician or actor over ‘real’ professions, he was regarded as no better than a dreg of the human society and treated as such.

But over the years, the artist managed to win some respect from the same people that had despised and treated him like an outcast. Nowadays, he is at times not only seen as a role model, he is also accepted as an important member of the society.

Some popular actors and actresses, as well as music stars, have been privileged to strut the corridors of power with a pronounced swagger. Within the last few years, a few artistes have been appointed to strategic positions in government, with most of them coming from Nollywood.

For some of these people, all that matters is the opportunity to serve their country or respective states in a different capacity, while the lure of power and a rare opportunity to line their pockets with stolen funds might be the driving factor for the others.

But the compelling question is: how well have these ‘privileged’ movie and music stars fared in their appointments? How much have they impacted on the lives of the same that they have set out to serve? Perhaps a glance at the profiles of a few, such as Sam Dede, Hilda Dokubo, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Nkiru Sylvanus, Ejike Asiegbu and Tony Muonagor, aka Tony One-Week, will provide the answers.

Sam Dede

Sometime in May, 2012, when he was appointed Director General of the Rivers State Tourism Development Agency, the news was well received among his numerous fans across the country. Uncle Sam’s colleagues at the University of Port Hacourt, where he has taught drama for many years and raised many fellow Thespians to stardom, and the ones in Nollywood had rejoiced with him. At the time, the general feeling was that the appointment was well earned.

In an interview published in a national newspaper (not PUNCH), Dede himself had speedily declared his ‘manifesto’. Among other things, he had pledged to bring the tourism potentials of Rivers State to limelight.

The actor had given the assurance that within a few months of his appointment, there would be changes. Perhaps to prove that he was not mincing words, he chose the annual carnival, which is a major cultural and tourism event in the state, as a referent point and promised the people that the next edition of the event would be an “experience of a lifetime”.

So far, some observers have expressed the opinion that the seasoned actor has not done badly in his new appointment, though it might take a while to fully realise his goals for tourism in Rivers. But there is still this fear that the trappings of power may lure him to embrace politics fully. Only time will tell.

HILDA DOKUBO

Apart from being a pioneer of what is now known as the Nigerian movie industry, Hilda Dokubo’s fierce advocacy for the less privileged and her penchant to stand up against social injustice is well known among her fans. So when she was named as a Special Adviser on Youth Matters to former Governor Peter Odili a few years ago, many people were not surprised.

The job had expectedly taken away the Nollywood diva from her fans for a while. But within that period, she worked hard to make a difference in the lives of the youths of the state. One of her notable achievements was the extension of the perks of the Niger Delta Amnesty Programme to about 50 women whom she identified as ex-militants.

With support from the Special Adviser to the President on Amnesty Programme, Kingsley Kuku, the women were made to undergo a 12-month training and skills acquisition programme at the Centre for Creativity Arts Education in Port Harcourt. Dokubo is the Director of the Centre

Richard Mofe-Damijo

Popularly known as RMD, Mofe-Damijo’s appointment, first as a Special Adviser on Culture and Tourism to Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State, and later, as Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, did not come as a surprise to stakeholders in that sector. Many of them actually felt the appointments were overdue at the time because he had already distinguished himself as an A-list actor and an activist committed to the development of the arts, culture and tourism sector in the state.

One of RMD’s contributions to this sector, even before his admission to Government House in Asaba, was his brave effort to draw attention to the flourishing comedy industry in the state. Of course, only a few people will forget ‘Warri go bow’, an annual carnival-like comedy event that featured performances by both established and aspiring stand-up comedians of Delta origin drawn from different parts of the country.

But the actor’s image suffered a serious dent, not too long ago, when a report published online by a popular Internet portal allegedly named him as an accomplice in a N50m fraud discovered in the ministry headed by him.

The allegation went viral on the Internet and an additional rumour that he was wanted by the EFCC circulated widely. After a long silence. The actor, however, declared the allegation was untrue.

Nkiru SylvanusEver since Governor Rochas Okorocha appointed her his Special Adviser on Public Affairs, this pretty and soft-spoken Nollywood actress seems to have been busy jumping from one trouble to another. First, shortly after she had settled to her new job, she was kidnapped and kept incommunicado for a while until she regained her freedom.

Next, after she was released by the kidnappers, it was rumoured that she secretly married one Umar Sani, alleged to be an aide to Vice President Namadi Sambo. But both of them separately denied the rumour.

Since both events have served as distractions to the actress, it is doubtful if she has had a chance to make any impact in the lives of the people.

Ejike AsiegbuEjike Asiegbu was appointed Special Assistant on Entertainment to Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State. For the actor, who had previously served as the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, it was a welcome diversion. With a successful career that spanned more than two decades, the appointment was seen at the time as deserving, too.

However, it is not known if his tenure yielded any notable results in terms of the development of the Abia entertainment industry

Reading and QPR are relegated

Reading and Queens Park Rangers were relegated to the Championship after a scrappy goalless draw between the Premier League's bottom two clubs.
Royals striker Pavel Pogrebnyak was denied by Jose Bosingwa's clearance off the line before the Russian fired just wide after Jobi McAnuff's pass.
Esteban Granero clipped the bar for Harry Redknapp's QPR in a game lacking in quality at the Madejski Stadium.

And both teams will play next season in the second tier after poor campaigns.
Reading and QPR have been flirting with relegation all season yet their fate is now sealed.
Even if they win their remaining three games they can only reach a maximum of 34 points.
Aston Villa, 17th in the table, are currently on 34 points, but for Villa to lose all of their remaining games would involve 18th-placed Wigan, who they meet on the final day, finishing on a minimum of 35 points.
The final whistle was greeted by some jeers by the home fans while QPR owner Tony Fernandes, who sacked Mark Hughes in November after a dreadful start to the season and has invested more than £50m in transfers since last July, cut a frustrated figure in the main stand.

Redknapp has been planning behind the scenes for life in the Championship for some time, but the QPR manager will have been encouraged by his team's first-half showing.
Jermaine Jenas, Granero and Jay Bothroyd all had chances to mark their return to the side with a goal as Redknapp made five changes after the 2-0 home defeat to Stoke in the previous game.
After Jenas had fired wildly over the bar from 20 yards, former Real Madrid player Granero clipped the top of bar from the same distance in the 12th minute.
And former Cardiff forward Bothroyd also went within a whisker of breaking the deadlock after lifting the ball over goalkeeper Alex McCarthy, who was well off his line, only for it to bounce narrowly wide of the target.
It was not until the final minute of the first half that McCarthy's opposite number Robert Green was tested, the Hoops keeper beating away McAnuff's attempt.

Moments earlier Pogrebnyak had been denied by a clearance off the line by Bosingwa, who has gone from Champions League winner with Chelsea to the Championship in the space of 12 months.
The second half was not much better in terms of quality between two teams who have managed just nine league wins between them.
In arguably the move of the match, Pogrebnyak sped past Bosingwa and cut inside the area before bending a shot just wide after McAnuff's clever pass.
This time last year it was all smiles at the Madejski Stadium as the club celebrated promotion to the top flight.
But there was an air of resignation in the penultimate home match.
Substitute Adam Le Fondre should have scored in the closing stages while Sean Morrison's powerful header was tipped over by Green.
There was still time for Bothroyd to win it but his finish was not clinical enough, the story of QPR's season.

Pathetic: LATE DAGRIN’S MOTHER GOES BROKE!

Monday made it three years Oladapo Olaonipekun popularly known as Dagrin died in an auto crash. Saturday Beats gathered that three years down the line, the mother of the late rap artiste, Falilat Olaonipekun, is broke. A Blackberry message made the rounds during the week, soliciting for support for the deceased’s mother.

The message stated that as Dagrin was being remembered by fans, his mother should also be put into consideration. The message read, “DAGRIN is ALIVE. Yes in our hearts, he is evergreen. It has been three years since our loving Dagrin passed on to rest in the Lord! Show Dagrin’s mum some love, drop your widow’s mite in her Acct- First Bank branch Acct- 3046543524 Olaonipekun Oluwakemi Falilat.”

When we got t in touch with the late rapper’s manager, Tunde Peter, he said that the broadcast message was authentic and he actually rebroadcasted it when he confirmed its validity.

“Someone sent it to me and as I confirmed that the details are true, I had to rebroadcast it,” he said.

The development is quite shocking because though Dagrin did not reign for more than eight months before his death, he made a lot of money especially from shows. No one doubted the love he had for his mother, especially as he said in various interviews that she stood by him, so one would think his estate would make arrangements for her.

Peters further told Saturday Beats that because of the lack of structure in the music industry, nothing is working for Dagrin’s parents.

He said, “I feel his mum needs help. She claims that and currently she is not doing anything. Nothing is working at all for all these people. Our music industry is just a flop.”

Meanwhile, some artistes showed their love by using the late rapper’s pictures as display pictures on their BBMs and avatar on Twitter. Tonto Dikeh went the extra mile by visiting his graveside and laying a wreath there

Why I left my husband in Switzerland’-Jennifer Eliogu

Jennifer Eliogu is one of the growing numbers of Nollywood stars who are engaged in inter-continental marriages.

“As I told you – my husband is based in Switzerland, and after some years there, we reached the painful but practical decision that I should move back to Nigeria to continue my career in acting. I do not have problems with an inter-continental marriage, but in my own case, I did not want to be a full time house wife.

“My husband is very comfortable with my decision, and it has not affected our marriage in any way. Yes, as with most marriages, we have had our fair share of challenges, but overall, my husband is the best man I could ever aspire to have and seven years after we got married, the flame of passion remains the same.”

On the rumour that her marriage has crashed, she looked bewildered and replied,“It is not true. We are still married, but I have already told you we have challenges and we are working around those challenges.”

Nigerian musicians were at their best during the just-concluded maiden edition of the Calabar International Jazz Festival, which held at the Cultural Centre and Millennium Park, Calabar.
The event was supported by telecommunications giant, MTN. Music lovers thronged the venue to watch their favourite artistes perform on stage with various jazz musical beats. Some of the musicians included Darey, Asa, Jonathan Butler, Eric Benet, Jimmy Lulu, Bez, Salvador Sango, Tari, Jazzy Leo, Dakore Egbuson-Akande among others.
The jazz festival attracted audiences outside the music arena and some of the country’s political bigwigs were in attendance who did not hide their love for the soothing effect of jazz music.
They danced to songs from hit-makers of old, who teamed up with those of the present to serenade the city. Asa thrilled the audience with her electrifying performance. She said “ MTN has always been involved in music from the beginning.
They have been there for the love of music, not just for business. You can see it in everything that they have done such as Project Fame, sponsorship of festivals and other events in the events. MTN’s General Manager, Regulatory Affairs, Oyeronke Oyetunde, while appreciating the outcome of the jazz festival, said: “This festival is a direct result of the demand from the more discerning MTN consumers, for a jazz event, in a more intimate setting, which is why MTN, being a responsible and responsive organisation that listens to the yearnings of its teeming customers, supported the Calabar International Jazz Festival.”

Click for Full Image Size http://www.entmusport.blogspot.co.uk
Sequel to the allegation of lies and deceit leveled on the handsome Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo, a certain pastor Michael Sam based in the United Kingdom has exposed his act as being his way of life.

“Why is it that John Dumelo is taking more time than is necessary in speaking the truth? It is not that he has not spoken about his fake marriage with Harrina A Dembele, there are more issues to deal with,” concerned fans asked.

Well, there is a rumour about a Brigitte and others spoken of by one Pastor Micheal Sam from the United Kingdom, the pastor was so bitter in a letter he posted online about the way Dumelo dupes women of their hard earned money all in the name of love.

This is extracted and re edited by us from the Pastor’s timeline on the social media, “Dumelo has a problem and he need to be careful or else he may be digging his own grave. Someone or his parents should talk to him because he has a problem with money and how he deceives ladies and take their money.

To Mr. John Dumelo, please go and pay those ladies in these countries I have mentioned. You know what I am talking about before something else happen to you. One of them is “Brigitte,” she is in Australia at the moment, she gave you money to be given to her parents and you have spent the money and kept on telling her stories…

The other ladies I will hold their names for now and they all have evidences of the monies they gave to you. Protect your name, John Dumelo and your image by paying them because you have a good future so dont let these things destroy the sweet future you have. My last word for you and as a pastor and a lawyer, Mr. John Dumelo try and seek for help because the things they are saying about you are not good okay.”

Now, what has Dumelo have to say?

One of Nollywood's 'baddest boys', Jim Iyke, has opened up on speculations going round that he is in a romantic relationship with sexy Ghanaian actress, Nadia Buari. For some time now, both stars have been seen around each other in suggestive ways.

They have also reportedly been seen together at some suggestive places which brought about the rumour that both have some 'rubbing and entangling of bodies' going on between them.

Reacting to the reports, Jim Iyke's image maker, Mitch Ngaman informed Nigeriafilms.com that Jim Iyke and Nadia are just 'best of buddies, they are not dating.' He said it is very normal for people to think that both stars are dating due to the closeness that exist between the two 'marriageable adults.'

When asked if Jim is still dating his Jamaican lover, Kentura, the actor's publicist answered, "yes."

Pregnancy: Nigerian Celebrities' Hope Dashed On Green Cards

Hope of our celebrities who plan to travel to the United States of America to have their babies has finally come to a halt, as the new policy of Uncle Sam’s country may not favour 90% of them. The likes of Mercy Johnson who recently had her baby there should be thankful to God because she is likely going to be the last woman standing in Nollywood.

According to report gathered from Compass, the United States government appears to have tightened the noose on Nigerian pregnant women who have formed the habit of traveling to the US to deliver their babies. The women employ the ploy to ensure that such babies become citizens of the US in order to enjoy all the benefits of US citizenship.

However, with the new policy being introduced in the US, Nigeria women who travel abroad to deliver their babies may now have to opt for other countries other than the US or be multi-millionaires before they can have access to travelling for child delivery and qualify for automatic citizenship.

Most pregnant women in the past concealed their pregnancies during their visa interview or went for the interview with protruding tummies. But unfortunately for them now, women who are making such future plans may have the plans fall flat as the U.S embassy has got wind of the popular gimmick pregnant women use to secure visa for child delivery in the foreign country.

Already, the embassy has outlined some conditions which have to be met before such a visa which falls under medical tourism category is issued. But these conditions will not be favourable to many.

The applicant has to show proof of available funds of at least $140,000 (about N24 million) to pay medical fees; the applicant has to show proof of the need for medical attention in the U.S, such as high risk pregnancy and the likes.

US Embassy Chief of Consular Section, Ms Carol Cox disclosed that it would cost at least $60,000 to have a baby in the US and when complications arise from the delivery; the medical bills may go as high as $140,000.
Thus, fund availability, is very important as it is necessary to ensure that American taxpayers do not have to pay such bills, says Cox.

‘We owe the American public who pay taxes to make sure that those who seek medical services in the US pay for such services. This is essential because there are those who have the money and are not willing to pay.
It is very frustrating when you see a woman who is obviously pregnant. Sometimes seven months gone, tell you during a visa interview that she is just going to the US for a vacation,’ she said.

This new law was obviously made to discourage Nigerian women from traveling in the bid to get citizenship for such children but only those who need medical attention and can afford at least N24 million for medical bills will have the opportunity to deliver children in the country.

Nonso Diobi is Upset!

Click for Full Image SizeNollywood actor, Nonso Diobi is very upset at the moment and this was what he had to say about Bloggers:

"Celebs are also humans just like you and should be allowed to live their lives as one. We also have our personal life behind the screen you know... Because most of these so-called BLOGGERS are from the pit of Hell sent by the Devil to destroy the careers of successful people."

2Face Publicly Promises To Satisfy Annie In Bed

A bit of tradition was meted out on 2Face Idibia on Friday at his traditional wedding with Annie Macaulay at the bride's hometown.

In the presence of top politicians like Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom State governor) and Florence Ita Giwa, 2Face was asked to touch his Joystick and make a promise to satisfy their daughter. The Idoma-born singer joyfully did.

As Esit Urua custom demands, the hometown of Annie, 2Face was asked to raise his right hand to the sky and touch his Joystick.

This reportedly took place at the field of Apostolic High School, Esit Urua, where the wedding was held.

He was then asked if he still has this joystick intact after he touched it which he answered in the affirmative. The next question was if 2Face will satisfy her, as usual of 2Face, he jokingly answered yes.
At this point, laughter filled everywhere.

Iyanya's Girlfriend, Emma Nyra, Revealed!

Click for Full Image Size
When these two loverbirds were first sighted together, they didn’t give any hint of their relationship until recently when it has been revealed. International singer, Emma Nyra and Iyanya first released pictures of themselves together last December, many wondered what was between the two, as the pictures (above) looked very suggestive and full of chemistry.

The exit of Tonto Diko and Yvonne Nelson has now paved way for Emman Nyra, an American based singer who shot into limelight with Iyanya’s “Your Waist” video. She also featured Iyanya on her new single “Everything I Do.”

I personally didn't think the pictures were really a big deal, because both of them are artists under Iyanya(and Ubi Franklin's) self owned record label Made Men Music.

However, the duo kicked off their US/Canadian tour last Friday 5th of April, and I can unequivocally tell you that Iyanya and Emma are in a 'Tunde and Wunmi Obe' situation, except of course they are not married.

entmusport.blogspot.co.uk gathered that the two are a 'hot item' and very much in love. They were also not afraid to publicly flaunt their relationship.

While some love to make a very elaborate wedding, some will prefer to just havea few family and friends around to support them and the rest is final. one of those who falls in that category is William Orioha popularly called 2shotz in the music industry.

The talented Nigerian artiste, 2shotz , married his heartthrob, Precious Jones today at the Ikoyi registry, Lagos. He had his introduction earlier this week in his wife's home town. A big congrats to the lovely couple!
